Abstract
This study aims to determine the most dominant translation techniques among transposition, borrowing, and adaptation in Mitch Albom's novel Tuesdays With Morrie. This study uses a Qualitative Approach as a Research Design consisting of four steps, namely Data Preparation, Coding, Categorization, and Analysis. The time of this research was carried out from June to July 2025. To collect data, what was done was observing the entire content of the novel and categorizing it according to the translation techniques that the researcher had chosen. The results of the study found a total of 88 uses of translation techniques transposition, borrowing, and adaptation. Transposition techniques numbered 50 (57%), borrowing techniques numbered 33 (37%), and adaptation techniques numbered 5 (6%). Based on the results of the study, the researcher concluded that the largest number of uses of translation techniques was in transposition. Transposition is the most easy to find in novels because it is a fundamental technique for making translations sound natural. It involves changing the grammatical structure from the source language to the target language without altering the original meaning
